Having a self-catering break with us and looking for something fun to do next weekend?
If you are looking for something to do next weekend – where there LOADS of action, then head down to the Cork Summer Show!
Highlights for kids include the Star Dome – the Blackrock Observatory are bringing this epic planetarium attraction to Curaheen – especially for the kids (see it HERE now!) There is also the Festival4Kids, for all ages and promises a memorable day, with bouncy castles, magicians, (with mega star Billy Bubbles performing 4 shows a day!) Face-painters, balloon fun, remote control cars and bubble machines.
The Show is organized by the Munster Agricultural Society and generally has a reputation for great weather – and the forecast is good for next weekend! The show has a long history and is the oldest agricultural show in Ireland – this is the 173rd event. The Show commences on Friday the 13th and continues right up until Sunday the 15th of June.
The music band Hermitage Green will perform for the opening of the Show on Friday at 2p.m. Over the three days of the Cork Summer Show, there will be showing classes for horses, sheep, goats, poultry, and cattle, a display of breeds, pony club games, carriage driving and an international farriery competition.
All the weekend you will also see display of vintage cars, tractors, steam engines and the Farmers market. Don’t miss the Cork Food Fest, the Cork Music Fest or the Best Dressed Ladies Event, the Arts and Crafts and Horticulture competitions… !
The Cork Summer Show is also a must for dog lovers and will show classes on Sunday.
Loads to do for all the family!
